A little more help with McAfee?

I’m grateful for the valuable help you gave me then. Now I need a little more.

That day (2/21) I deleted everything I could find that said McAfee, including Web Advisor. Today I noticed a little lag and checked Task Manager—and found a new app dated the same day I took everything off.

It doesn’t show under apps. I can’t uninstall it from there. Clicking a link in Task Manager led me here:

C:\Program Files\mcafee\WebAdvisor

Clicking the “uninstall” icon within that folder returns the message that the uninstaller isn’t found.

Zombies. I was afraid of them.

On 2/25 I received a phone call from McAfee tech support to see if I had got what I needed. I asked if there were any hidden apps I needed to locate and remove. He said no. But there must have been something, or my yet-unexpired subscription is still churning.

Can I just delete that whole folder, or do I have to do something subtler and with less brute force?

Thank you.
