What is the largest amount in a legal tender/currency?

In the world? Ever?

There used to be trillion dollars notes in Zimbabwe. Is there any higher?

Post WWII Hungary printed 100 Quintillion Dollar notes.

If they’re worthless, what does it matter how many 0s there are.

I have some 1930-vintage German currency that is for 500,000,000 deutschmarks and was worth about 15 cents.

It’s true. Here’s another angle that I know of:
After WWII, Hungary was printing 1 million mark notes so fast that they only had time to print them on one side and it took a whole sack full of these notes to buy a loaf of bread.

At one point, Zimbabwe took 6 zeros off of their money. (Like that would help.)

Japan only deals in yen. If you got paid $100, it would be like 10,000 pennies.
