Salsa(sauce)

Antipasto

Not trying to be rude, but do you ever look these things up for yourself? I know quite a lot of your questions don’t necessarily have simple, easily searchable answers, but for something simple like food dishes it really doesn’t take much time or effort to look them up on Wikipedia.

@Darth_Algar. I put in social to be social. I usually try to Google first before asking. My Google assistant didn’t provide clear answers.

I have problems reading long articles.

Thanks for the links.

From your links I have learned that salsa is a dip, and anti-pasto is an appetizer.

To answer your question. I am lonely and it’s 3am. Just reaching out. Also I thought that I stumbled upon something cool to ask Fluther.

Well part of the problem with Google these days is that before you come across anything useful you’ve gotta sift through a gazillion sponsored links. If you just want a general overview of something Wikipedia’s often a better bet.

One big difference is that salsa is hot from the peppers.

I think you mean Pesto, not antipasto.

I think of antipasto as not pasta.
Pasta would be raviolis, spaghetti noodles, macaroni.
Antipasto would be meats, fish, vegetables.

It’s easy to remember the difference if you remember that salsa is just like a chocolate chip cookie if you were to remove the eggs, butter, sugar, baking soda, vanilla, chocolate chips, and flour and then add chopped tomatoes, jalapenos, lime juice, cilantro, red onion and salt and pepper. And antipasto is just like a chocolate chip cookie if you were to remove the eggs, butter, sugar, baking soda, vanilla, chocolate chips, and flour and then add salami, prosciutto, provolone, fresh mozzarella, and olives.
