There are a couple of literary erotica websites around – the one I am thinking of has various sub-sections: Romance, Sci Fi, Loving Wives, Incest, First Time, and so on.

For most of the categories, both women and men are authors – you really can’t tell the author’s gender unless you make an effort to do so – the writing doesn’t include a lot of tells.

But the Lesbian sub-section – almost all stories are written by women. Why is that?
