Would you choose to be a dictator for life of your own country? (Details Inside)

Asked by RedDeerGuy1 (24986points) May 2nd, 2021

The catch is that it must be uninhabited. Like parts of Antarctica, the far side of the moon or parts of an unclaimed ocean?

In a way I am already.
The country is small though, house-sized.
And I don’t obey me.
I’m a bit off a rebel.

Sounds good to me. Just a small country. Not because I want to control other people, but more because I want to live in a friendly place where people work together.

Uninhabited, he said, @JLeslie.

Thanks! Uninhabited forever? Then no. Why bother.

A country on Earth? Sure. I would just put it under protection and let it become a wildlife habitat.

The moon…nah.

Only if I get to wear a tiara.

Are you allowed to invite friends and other immigrants?

RedDeerGuy1's avatar

@Zaku It is your personal sanctuary. You can come and go as you please anytime.

If this place is uninhabited, what’s the point? What would I dictate to, a bunch of coconut trees? Any way with my luck it WOULD be inhabited, by cannibalistic indigenous people. Yo drop that blow dart gun dude, my word is law! Make another plan Stan. We’re inviting you to dinner. And you are the main course.

@Nomore_lockout I would be like having your own apartment. Just it is just for you, and. Bigger.

Well that’s not much of a dictatorship, but I’d research what my chances would be of using its status to successfully protect the environment there from exploitation, and if they seemed good, I’d gladly accept.
