In the future will locksmiths be trained in retrieving access to locked out computers?
Just wondering. What happens now when one forgets their passwords and security answers?

I have problems with passwords all the time, even when I remember them. Nearly always the site can send a link to my email address that will allow me to reset it. I’ve never been locked out of my PC or of a website for any length of time because of password problems. It is a nuisance however.
I don’t know, but it has me wondering if computer repair people should have to go through background checks like locksmiths.
I heard this joke yesterday:
If you have problems remembering your password, set your password as “incorrect.” Then, when you can’t remember it, the computer will tell you “Your password is incorrect.”
Those are two entirely different jobs, with their own merits and no risk of getting obsolete.
That certainly would be a good business to expand into. As fewer key locks are being installed the need for electronic locksmithing is increasing.
I can see how locksmiths could expand and/or partner with computer security firms to provide a total service.
Imagine someone installs a complete Nest system that controls their security system, locks their doors, waters their plants, sets their t-stats, etc. and they get locked out somehow by a ransomware hacker. The future locksmith would have the development tools necessary to override the passwords and get inside.
Doubtful. Different skill set entirely.
