Is it possible that PETA or the Vegetarian Society or some similar group is responsible for hacking the beef producer yesterday?

I don’t see that as within their capabilities or within their MO. I blame Canada – just kidding!

A: None, Peta can’t change anything.

Also, we already have some suspicions about who is behind the hack.

I only hope they have that kind of power.

So, yes it’s possible.
But not very likely as they heretofore PETA have shown no signs of that kind of technical chops.

If it was PETA or a similar group, why would they ask for ransom? They would want the companies to feel the full brunt of the attack.

I don’t think so. While it might be possible, if caught, it would be akin to cutting off one’s nose to spite one’s face.

PETA is more about exposing cruelty and violence toward animals not stopping business for a day. ALF is the ONLY militant animal rights group and the haven’t been credited with anything for several years. The Vegetarian Society and almost any other vegan/vegetarian group functions to educate.
