What valuable commodities do we have in abundance?
Like air and water?
Or is it an oxymoron?

Which “we” are we talking about?
Well we certainly have the numbers required to attack and solve the problems confronting us. The most frustrating thing about those numbers is the wasted potential with so many of them. It burns my ass that everything from the cure for cancer to realization of the unified field theory is a lurking possibility, with the potential hero instead wasting away from disease, war, malnutrition, etc.
There are commodities that we have had in abundance that are in danger of becoming scarce, like clean water, clean air, arable land, fossil fuels and forested land.
@LostInParadise Also we are short of helium. In Western Canada we are opening up a helium mine.
