Am I able to control my iPhone with my computer wirelessly?

Asked by xxporkxsodaxx (1398points) September 11th, 2008

I have a bunch of speakers I use with my xbox and from time to time I’ll use connect my iPhone to them and use my computer while I’m listening to better quality music, but it’s a hassle to get up and forward a song if I don’t like it, is there some application that will do the opposite of the Remote application but for my Mac of course.

You need to get a universal remote. Those things can be made to do anything.

You could using ssh, although you’d have to do some digging to find out what the commands are to move from song to song. The universal remote might work as well, but I couldn’t tell you for sure as I don’t believe the iphone has infrared. If there’s a bluetooth universal remote I’m sure you could get it to work. I’d look into the ssh option. If I had an iPhone I’d do it myself just cause I’m curious now!
