My best friend is getting married and she and her man are making their own wedding invitations but want eco groovy paper. They are having a hard time finding someone who sells in small quantities. Any ideas? They are in Portland, OR but could order online, or I could get them something in San Francisco and send it up to them.

If you’re in San Francisco, Kelly Paper is the place to go – that’s where we got all of the paper for our wedding invitations, programs, etc. I’m pretty sure you can buy from them online as well, but if you want to check out the paper before you buy, they have several stores in the Bay Area, and they’ll sell you a few sheets as samples to send to your friends…
The Paper Source is also a great resource for all different shapes, sizes and colors of card stock. There’s also several of their stores in the Bay Area, so you can go buy some samples there too…
scissors and the inside of cereal boxes are all you need. That would be an AWESOME invitation.

If they don’t have the exact size you need they can cut it with a press machine for a nominal charge. When I worked there it averaged around $5 total for cutting services.
Have you tried The Green Office they have pretty much every kind of DIY-oriented recycled paper you can think of.
