Perhaps due to the pandemic, or totally unrelated.

Good question.
I think.we become more tolerant when we experience whatever ourselves.
I can’t say I’ve become.more tolerant of any thing lately, especially not my sister who I haven seen in 15 years and just spent a week with in Florida. AHHHHHHH!!!!
I think I’ve become more tolerant of where friends were at in terms of their cautiousness regarding actions during the pandemic. None of my friends were active anti-maskers or anti-vaxxers but some friends were more cautious than me and some were more cavalier. It did lead to some strain at times but I learned to accept where people were at with it – and adjust my own behavior accordingly. I am still intolerant of true anti-maskers or anti-vaxxers.
This is too funny. I was reading @Dutchess_III‘s answer just as I was thinking of my answer, which is: I’ve become more tolerant of my sister, who I just spent 10 days with in Houston. We had a couple heart-to-hearts, and a conversation with a friend of hers as a kind of interpreter.
Watched the Movie “The Shack”(2017)

Also bought the book by Wm Paul Young
Learned to be tolerant but more so understanding of how people need compassion and to be heard. This movie projects this concept very well.
I have been become more tolerant of people who can’t take a joke, and more sanguine about it as well.
It’s another one of those questions that I try to ignore. It is once again about matters of degree. There is clearly NOTHING with which I cannot find fault or complain about. So if tolerance is to mean keeping my opinions to myself, my grade must be an F. It is unfortunate that such an attitude is equated with an aura of belligerence. But there it is, and you know what? If life is the adventure I perceive it to be, I think the porcupine has distinct advantages over all those other pretty and magnificent animals.
@Inspired_2write I read the book a number of years ago, and recently had decided to order it online so I could read it again. When I took my trash to the dumpster that day, there lay the book, right on top as if waiting for me. I checked it good to make sure there were no bugs, found none, and voila! I now have the book, and have since ordered the movie. Sooo good!
