Can you help me with my Zoom recording questions?

I recorded an interview I just did with my parents and I think it recorded to my laptop? I don’t know if there is also a zoom link to the recording, I can’t figure that out. Also, it prompted me to sign into Onedrive, because I guess it is saved there. It said it is in the trash bin and will be deleted in 30 days. I don’t even know my log in for that I don’t think.
What I want is to be able to send a link of the recording to people if it is indeed saved in zoom. I also want to be able to make sure I don’t lose it on my lap top, I guess I can transfer it to a thumb drive, is that correct?
Thanks for all of your help in advance.

You should get an email to your zoom account with the recording link. It usually takes some time. The longer the recording the longer it takes to render and upload.
@Caravanfan An email to my email account that is associated with my zoom account? It’s a free zoom account, does that make any difference?
@JLeslie No it shouldn’t matter. Also, recorded videos go to an indexed folder on your hard drive. It might be there. Check your settings.
I see it on my hard drive, but it’s not a link that I can send to someone so they can watch it on zoom.
Then what you should do is upload it to youtube for viewing. Alternatively you can upload it to a cloud storage device like Google Drive, Dropbox, or Wetransfer. Then give that link.
Thanks. I was thinking I could do something like that. On google drive I feel like it becomes public. I have dropbox, but not everyone does. Probably youtube is iffy for privacy too. I don’t have the other one.
The google drive link won’t be public unless you let people know what the link is. Same with Dropbox. Youtube is a bit more problematic but you can set the privacy settings
I put it on Google drive, it’s taking up a lot of space, but I’ll just have it there temporarily. I sent it to a friend, I don’t know yet if she was able to access it.
You need to allow for sharing and give her the download link.
I have to allow her to download? I was hoping not to do that.
Yes. The link is on your google drive. You have to provide her with the link so she can download. The only other way to share it without having her download is by youtube.
One more Q. Can I edit in Google drive? I’d like to take out a few minutes.
@JLeslie No. You have to edit it on your PC and then upload it again.
