If Covid 19 killed an infected person at a much faster rate, would there be less anti-mask and anti-vaccine sentiments and effort?

Say once infected you’re dead within three days.

I’m not sure if it takes (much) longer in reality.
No I don’t think it would change much, were it a much faster death.
I think that if it would literally decimate the population, and people would lose family members, then it probably would lead some of them to contemplate their previous beliefs/decisions.
I just read about a guy who wasn’t vaccinated (he sort of ‘forgot’, due to him already had been sick with Covid (or so he believed) and concluding he couldn’t get it again, and he didn’t watch much news anymore (gotten sick of the politicising the whole Covid thing)).
Now he is in the ICU, intubated and on oxygen support, documenting his struggle on Facebook, in the hope of educating anti-vaxxers and more importantly people who are on the fence.
Some of his Facebook friends have indeed gotten the shot.
But people (some) who are strongly anti might see in him a straw man of the New World Order.
For the sick, without intensive care support, it kills pretty quickly already.
It’s getting there. The more people die in areas where anti-mask/anti-vaccine sentiments are highest, the more and more people will get on the mask/vaccine bandwagon.
Why the delay? Because some people learn. And some people only learn the hard way.
(Unfortunately, some people NEVER learn!)
No.
0815 Corona already kills you mere days after showing symptoms.
Kills virtually 100%, like small pox? Yes. I think so.
I think for some anti-vaxers, even if their own mother contracted COVID and immediately burst into flame, leaving behind a pile of ash in seconds, it still would not be enough to change their minds.
@cookieman Is it bad that I’m imagining them throwing essential oils on her while she’s on fire?
@cookieman Remember she has every right to self-combust and her kids have every right to see her self-combust.
I’m just imagining a reporter approaching folks at a Trump rally. “So, ah…what’s with the bag of marshmallows?”
too dark?
I like my marshmallows dark.
I think Winter is coming and many people will reverse their decision not to vaccinate only when it’s too late. IMO we are kind of in for it now in the US.
Not necessarily. I initially believed people would embrace suggestions or mandates to protect themselves and others from Covid-19.
Quite the contrary. People actually went out of their way to resist protecting themselves and others.
I have no reason to believe that faster death rates will convince people dead set (pun intended) on resisting Covid-19 prevention.
