If a question gets sent back for editing, can it be labeled as such by the moderators?

Otherwise, some comments made before the edit don’t make that much sense?
I realize the OP could add it themselves. But that doesn’t always happen.

Depending on the situation, we either remove answers that wouldn’t make sense after the edit or leave a [Mod Says] that the question was changed. If we missed one, please flag it and let us know!
The asker also has a short window to edit the question themselves, so sometimes answers don’t make sense because they were written during the edit window and the question was changed without any sort of moderator intervention. It’s obviously harder for us to keep track of those situations since we aren’t involved with them until someone notifies us.
That seems like a lot of work for you guys. Plus hard to keep track.
Would it ease some of your workload if we just tried to make it a thing to add it in ourselves when we edit a question?
Assuming making this an automated process isn’t an option since Bendrew aren’t around?
If someone edits a question on their own, it would be nice if they’d post an answer saying so. Then everyone would know that any answer above that was written before the edit. But it’s really not a problem for us to do it if we’re the ones who sent the question back for editing. Very few questions get edited into something different from the original. Most edits are for typos, broken links, and stuff like that.
I don’t know how I can ask a question: _“Where is the working link for the following law firm?” https://www.smithmullinlaw.com/ doesn’t seem to work. I keep getting ’‘Hmmm… can’t reach this page,’’
without it looking like a spam?
Edited to add.
@flo Just ask about the law firm by name without including the link. If you absolutely need to tell people about a non-working link, mention it in the first comment.
I copy pasted the link from CNN. Why CNN have doesn’t have the correct link, I don’t know.
Because even editors can miss things. That’s just life.
