@bob_ I edited added to it.
It’s equally bad, if not worse.
@bob_ Whoever the host is just before Don Lemon, says it’s ok.
…Chris Cuomo, the CNN host.
…It’s when he was interviewing a nurse, a few days ago. August 5 or 6 or so.
It is not okay for them or anyone they are around.
Fox News television journalists (Right Wing) are not a Medical Doctors . . . !
CNN and FOX are the same station. Fake news.
@flo Were there any special circumstances, like being unable to get the vaccine for medical reasons?
@bob_ He wasn’t referrring to anyone “unable to get the vaccine for medical reasons”. He was talking about nurses or health care workers in general.
@flo Then no, that’s not okay.
Neither bad. Both very smart.
I don’t think health workers get a choice if they want to keep their jobs.
Chris Cuomo said, ....see above.
It’s not okay for health workers to say no just as it’s not okay for non health workers to say no.
You saying Chris Como said it is not proof.
Of course they are allowed to refuse.
But they should, without question, be instantly fired and blacklisted from the health profession, if they do.
They are choosing in the affirmative to be an active health hazard for their patients, so they forfeit any right to be working in that field.
If it’s all fake news, @flo, why are you listening to/watching CNN? Can you link the clip? I don’t believe that Chris Cuomo said that.
If I somehow found out my health care worker was not vaccinated I would ask for another person. I can no longer trust their judgement and do not want them working on me.
My post above:
’‘CNN and FOX are the same station.’ Fake news.’’ I was to respond to the post above it.
’‘Fox News television journalists (Right Wing) are not a Medical Doctors . . . !’’ makes it sound like CNN and FOX are the same station, just old name and new name kind of thing. That’s is what I was referring to by ’‘fake news’’
This is a HUGE issue in my area right now. Healthcare workers are not required to vaccinate and my mother and others are increasingly uncomfortable with it. Since it’s not approved by the FDA, the hospital can’t make it mandatory supposedly, but one hospital did and have a few protester’s.
So yes, it’s a problem, just as much if not more, than regular people getting vaxxed.
If there is a link to that interview where Chris Cuomo said that I’m not finding it maybe they haven’t chosen to podcast tht interview or that part of the interview. The only thing I see is
CNN’s Chris Cuomo’s interview with a nurse August 2021 search result:
https://tinyurl.com/m8npfda8
Those are not the only interviews he did.
@KNOWITALL You must have meant ’’not getting vaxxed’’,
@flo Whatever you like. It certainly doesn’t increase trust in the vaccine or the hospital itself to NOT require staff to be vaccinated at this point. Instead of being part of the solution, they are part of the problem in my area.
@KNOWITALL I agree, it was just a typo, not content I was referring to.
CNN and FOX are not the same news channels. I don’t get my news from either one, but they are not the same channel.
If someone, health care professional or not, has a concern about a vaccine, why is it automatically an issue of THAT person? Why can’t we take all the concerns and actually address them? Are there not answers that can answer them?
There is an answer.
The answer is “YOU’RE FUCKING FIRED! Take your antivaxx ass, and get the fuck out of the hospital! Go sell crystals, scented oils and mislabled sugarpills on Craigslist!”
@ragingloli I admit that ran thru my mind when my mom said she was nervous about her radiation and chemo treatments.
How dare they even make immuno-compromised patients stress about that?!
If a health worker refuses to be vaccinated against Covid then they are being totally stupid and unthinking of others.
Not only are they putting their own health at risk but those who they care for.
It has been proven that although these vaccines cannot prevent people from contracting the virus it does cut down considerably the risk that they will be affected as seriously as they may have been prior to the vaccines being discovered.
In the last week at least four people who refused to be vaccinated contracted Covid and died. Three of them were in the same family, a mother a father and a brother.
@Poseidon A ton of people disagree with us on this. Many nurses on social media say they are in full gear and couldn’t spread it to patients. I honestly don’t know but I know my little mama is nervous, and I don’t like it.
“Unvaccinated individuals account for nearly all the hospitalizations and deaths in the country.” I think that’s from NPR. I just happened to remember I put it on my clip board a couple of hours ago.
