Is it worth consuming foods high in casein protein or casein protein powder before bed to prevent muscle breakdown?

I heard that some people consume casein protein to ensure they don’t lose any gains during sleep. Is this true? Has anyone tried testing this out? Thank you.

There’s no direct evidence that it works, but there is some indirect evidence that it’s at least worth a try. I haven’t tried it myself, but I have worked out with people who swear by it.
