It kinda varies. Your manufacturer may have supplied their own wi-fi connectivity software (my Dell does that… I don’t use the default Windows control panel).
What kind of PC? What service pack of XP? Was XP part of your PC’s OEM install? What kind of router? Have you confirmed other computers can see and connect to this particular wireless network? Have you already tried Start > Control Panel > Wireless Configuration Utility? Or Wireless Network Setup Wizard?
it’s a net gear ruter, windows xp home edition, service pack 2, running on a MacBook
What about my other questions?
Have you confirmed other computers can see and connect to this particular wireless network? Have you already tried Start > Control Panel > Wireless Configuration Utility? Or Wireless Network Setup Wizard?
In addition, is WinXP running under Bootcamp, or an emulator like VMware or Parallels?
