What can I do with an old laptop?

2015 Dell XPS 13

Needs recharging every few hours.

Runs Windows 10 just fine. I cannot remember how much memory it has but doubt it’s enough to switch to the new Windows 11 coming this fall.

It runs fine, but it’s old and much slower than the new laptop I bought some months ago.

Can this be donated somewhere after wiping the memory? Is it safe to donate even after wiping? Should I just take it to be trashed?
