What are your cooking tips and tricks?

Asked by RedDeerGuy1 (24986points) August 17th, 2021

I press down on eggshells and push them off to the side and out of my scrambled eggs.
I use the meat grease, from chicken quarters ect, to soften veggies instead of using butter.
I use the timer on my microwave for cooking.

Humor welcome.

I would also do the same for apple pie. Have never tried it, though…

I try to use as few pots and pans as possible. I hate washing pots and pans. For instance cook a steak in a pan, and then sauté onions and mushrooms in the same pan afterwards.

I semi-homemake a lot of meals. Frozen meal like lasagna or chicken a la king, and then add my own steamed or sautéed veggies. Another example I make a salad and buy a roasted chicken from the market.

Practice your math.

It’s all about timing things to finish at the right time.

Unless they catch on fire, you can’t overcook roasted potatoes
