No, but my daughter had three pieces of a Halloween display taken off of her porch three years ago, a month after moving in to the house. She put a Ring doorbell bell up on November 2nd.

Yes, once, when I was in college and living off campus. It was something I had ordered as a gift for someone from eBay. “Porch pirates” are a frequent topic of discussion on sites like NextDoor around here.

Not that I can remember. Some places I have lived didn’t allow leaving packages at the door, but most have.

Yup. I’ve honestly lost track of how many we’ve had stolen.

The last one was kind of funny though. The thief made off with [drumroll] one bag of gluten-free pretzels.

The officer and I were laughing imagining them opening it up, tasting one and spitting them out.

The best has to be when my next door neighbor was organizing a bachelorette party. They also own bunnies. The thief made off with rabbit food and tiny penis-shaped candies. Score!

Kind of hoping they spread the word that the packages on this street suck.

Twice. After the first time I was required to give a signature. When the second package was stolen (or simply not delivered), UPS refused to acknowledge any part in the matter so I went to the shipper and found the signature I had supposedly made was only a scribble. My neighbor reported that the UPS driver parked across the street but never actually came to my house.
What was in the packages? Wide brimmed hats. The shipper reshipped the order.

I’ve had mail vanish though I don’t think from a porch.

If I were in a place where that happens often, I’d be tempted to put out boxes with silly or problematic things in them. I’ve watched some videos of people who build booby trap bombs with video cameras and confetti launchers and fart spray, etc.

I do not have a porch to steal from.
They have never left a package just laying around.
They either handed it to a neighbour, or deposited in the nearest postal-service-affiliated shop.

I’ve heard numerous reports on our local social sites from the nearby city but never had one taken from me and my neighbor gets them all the time.

I don’t know if they were stolen or just never delivered. Anyway, because we lived in an area with so many streets with names that sounded and looked almost the same, I figured it would’ve been easy to place the package at the wrong house. After talking to the delivery company I learned that it would be a simple matter to have the package shipped to a nearby UPS office and I pick it up there. Problem solved!

I don’t have a porch. Packages are left with a neighbour or placed under the Welcome mat at my front door. There has never been a problem.

Package stolen from in front of my apartment door. Fortunately Amazon mailed a replacement free of charge. Since then I have my packages delivered to a PO Box, an Amazon pick up location or a friend’s house.

Apparently someone stole a small package off my porch. It was delivered but I never got it. It was just $30 worth of wood vanish that I bought from eBay. I set up a security video recorder.

No porch theft.

I however have had one of my Bikes stolen from my garage during the day and one break-in to my house during the day hours. Not a good feeling.

I haven’t and as far as I know, it’s not occurred in the complex I live in. I do see reports on local FB groups where people show their doorbell cameras, showing prospective thieves going in their driveways and trying car doors.
