US Thriller movie 90/s - 2000s?

I’m looking for the title of a movie (maybe a TV movie).

It is from late 90s/ first 2000.

The movie begins with a woman inside her house with a man, maybe she has an affair with him (but I’m not sure), she tries to escape from him but a boy – who is entered secretly – stops her and the woman is killed.

The boy is the son of the man, they kill single women for robbery.

Years go by… and now there is a woman (separated or widowed) with a 10 years son/daughter who meets a man (“the son”). She starts an affair and falls in love with him but he just wants his money and kill her.

A friend of hers understands his true intentions but is killed.

At the end she manages to stop him.
