What sorts of software will you be using for your art? What are the software needs in terms of RAM and processor speed? Once you have an understanding of what your actual requirements are, you can look for a machine that meets those requirements.

By the time you outfit a laptop with the power and storage you will need, you could afford a powerful desktop box and a good LARGE monitor so you can see what you’re doing.
