Remember that they also let uniformed Starfleet officers stroll around their ships for a while, as long as they did not raise their weapons.

I always thought that was so strange.

I assume it doesn’t matter what you wear. If it did matter why wouldn’t the Starfleet officers not mimic the Borg costumes? They can replicate the costumes and alter their body to look like Borg.
