Is the Johnson and Johnson vaccine allowed in USA?

Yes my husband got that one shot.

@omtatsat The FDA determined it is still safe to receive the J&J, but anyone with increased likelihood of blood clots or GBS are being steered towards the mRNA’s.

In fact, it looks like a recommendation is going to come out soon to get a booster of J&J and the preliminary results of the booster is very good protection against the virus.

In the US a low percentage of people received the J&J, but that still equates to millions of people in the US. Some people felt uncomfortable taking the mRNA, because they considered it to be new technology. Some people liked “one and done,” but I don’t know why anyone actually thought it would only be one. The efficacy of one is about the same as the efficacy of one mRNA.

People who had a bad reaction to the first mRNA, some of them received a J&J as a second shot, but that is off label (not an official recommendation) and their own choice.

Yes. I think it was suspended temporarily, but it is still being administered.

Yes, My husband and I both received the shot back in March. The big problem now is waiting to see about a booster shot.

Yes, I got my J&J here in Calif. last Apr.
