How do you classify the types of electrical noise ?

Buzzing, sputtering, clapping (as in a clap of thunder). What an odd question…

It sounds like an electrical or electronic engineering homework question.

Maybe one of our engineering types will drop in.

There are many. Some are normal and some are not.

My experiences as an Electrical Engineer are wide and varies depending on if it is Ac or DC, high voltage, low voltage. Some can be from an electro-mechanical device but I will just list ones purely Electric.

crack or crackle
noise
static

Conducted
Radiated
EMP
Static discharge
I’m probably missing a couple.

Electromagnetic – - running a current through wires wrapped around an iron core. For a buzzer or bell.

Signal clipping distortion, attenuation, harmonic interference, ground loops… there are many ways noise happens.

Along with snap and crackle, pop.
Zap.
Bang.
Sizzle.
