What are the little things that you are thankful for?
There was a post on FB today where a family was writing on a pumpkin every day what they were thankful for. Something simple. What would you add to the pumpkin?

Clean drinking tap water.
Being able to retire young.
Small thing’s like a rainy day, a quiet peaceful home and a few good friends.
Getting to talk to my son last night.
The soft light just after sunrise this morning.
@jca2 That’s a pretty big thing.
My heart beating normally.
@gondwanalon That can be a pretty big thing as well, depending upon what is going on in your life.
The antics of my lovely cat.
Fills me with pure joy and love.
The simple act of making a cup of tea.
^^^^ @Hawaii_Jake
It doesn’t sound all that simple, I know you have an affinity for things Japanese:
Chanoyu, Sado or simply Ocha in Japanese. It is a choreographic ritual of preparing and serving Japanese green tea
I was thinking of that. The Japanese Tea Ceremony is a zen practice of finding meditation in simple acts. I don’t do that when I make a cuppa, but I’m conscious of the possibility.
@Hawaii_Jake Someday I hope to have tea with you, perhaps at Bill W.‘s place.
@rebbel You should upload a picture of the lovely feline, I’d love to see her/him.
@KNOWITALL I will, the moment I can access my Instagram again!
I’m grateful for the limitless cold pure water that comes from my kitchen taps.
@rebbel The phone app is free Come on, I want to see.
I live on a street full of beautiful cats in a quiet country neighborhood. I have at least three in my yard most of the time. It helps that I have a covered porch, carport and hedges that run across the front side of my home, they love to play and hide in them.
My favorite is Ash, he is grey and black. He will walk with you like a dog and knows his name, he’s not a snobby or hateful fellow at all. I also have another friend who I named Creamsicle, a fluffy orange and white older gent. No one seems to know where he came from and he won’t let me within two feet as of now, but I’m working on it. :D
Facebook is back up on my laptop now. 4:55pm 10.4.21
@rebbel All three I saw were gorgeous!! I have to admit Meep is special with her pink little nose.
Yes free if you already have FB you can use tgat log in, too.
Thank you!
Meep is living with my girlfriend now, in Greece.
She’s ferocious.
Meep, that is.
As @rebbel is for his feline companion, I’m very thankful for my kitty Katrina, who now occupies my avatar. She’s the tuxedo, with one of her children falling asleep on her back.
I adopted her from my wife, and for that I’ll be forever grateful to her.
When I first met Katrina (aka Roofy, L’il Roofster, Princess Purrsalot), we bonded instantly.
The second thing I noticed about her, was that unlike a lot of other adult cats, she purrs a lot.
Because of her frequent purring, sometimes she’ll simultaneously purr and mew. When she does that, it sounds like she’s chirping. :)
She’s given me some wonderful companionship, especially during these Covidian times.
@Brian Cute!! At first I thought it was a cat and mouse, as the ears didn’t make sense haha!
@rebbel Are yours two males or ? I can certainly see how Meep is a favorite.
My mom has a neighbor cat that’s polydactyl. A huge grey male named Gunther that is very friendly but also deadly. His claws are razor-blades of death. Haha! But he looks like he’s walking on his knuckles, his paws and shoulders are massive. Street boxer.
