Do you enjoy going to a store like Runnings?

Asked by LuckyGuy (43867points) October 10th, 2021

Here is the current advertising flyer that I found in my mailbox today.
Runnings ad

The front page contains about 9 items that, presumably, will attract attention and draw in potential customers. The items are:
24 pack of bottled water $3.49, Salted nut rolls $0.59, Automatic battery charger $79.99, Springfield Armory Hellcat 9 mm Micro-compact pistol $499.99, 15 pound bags of dog and cat food $20.99, 16 ft 1 person Ladder stand $89.99, Fiberglass rod fence posts $1.49 , Screw tight fence post insulators $4.99, Waterproof Trailer Light kit $29.99.
You get the idea. I wonder if their marketing team is sane and sober.
But, I will admit, I love walking around their stores. As Forest Gump would say: “You never know what you’re gonna get.”
Do you?

I find it interesting when I’m there, but would probably almost never go of my own volition. I could see winding up in that store once or twice a year.

Looks like a farm store, and they carry anything you might need on a farm. I love those stores!

Gotta love America, putting a gun on the cover of a department store flyer!

We have similar stores here (sans revolvers), and I do like to go there, every now and again.
I might even go today, because they sell a small bucket of wooden beads for $4.
Great toys for my cat (have to check whether they’re painted or something first; don’t want kitty sick, or worse).
He loves balls, ever since he lost his.

Ridiculous, isn’t it? We can buy handguns there but liquor is out of the question.

@LuckyGuy They probably don’t want to get sued by someone who gets drunk on booze they bought at the store, then used the gun they bought at the store to kill a person who is (or is not) wearing a mask.
