What is the point to non gambling casino websites?

Like boring video games on a casino website? People are easily entertained, and it’s a chance to show ads and datamine your users.

Some people like playing casino games even with no money involved.

They act as a gateway drug.

Probably even more accurate, is that people like hanging out with each other online playing casual games, and so you get communities of people who show up regularly to hang out online. The context is playing traditional card games or whatever, but the main reason they come, is for the social hangout.

At least in some cases.

There are also a bajillion random clones of gambling games most (?) of which don’t use any real money…

Even “slot machine” games that have nothing to do but pull a lever over and over until you go imaginarily broke or imaginarily win something. Go figure. there was even one for the old Atari 2600 in the early 1980’s, back when it was a pain to create such a game, and physical cartridges needed to be made, and were expensive to buy.

People like to pretend, and have different things they like to pretend. It’s not really different from “why are there violent games with no actual damage to the real world?” Etc.

If it’s a casino website that is not used for gambling purposes, but just information about the casino, I would think the benefit is that guests would need to know the address for the casino, what restaurants are available at the casino, what shows and events are coming up at the casino, and a link for tickets, and what games the casino offers.
