What is the best am home radio?
That tunes better, and does not have static? Preferably one that plugs into my wall outlet and has batteries?
I am willing to spend extra for a quality radio. I prefer to get a link to an Amazon item.

It’s all about how good the unit is, and how much signal you’re catching. Surprisingly, car radios are some of the best you can buy cheap, but require a bit of converting to use in a home.
I recall that I used to get the best signal plugging my stereo receiver into a cable tv terminal with a coaxial cable, and getting pretty darn good radio reception.
Easy answer – get one with a digital tuner, that costs more than the cheap ones.

Sangean, Eton and Tecsun are popular brands among radio cognoscenti for better than average quality.
