Will Queen Elizabeth II not live much longer?

Asked by omtatsat (1237points) November 1st, 2021

She was in hospital and they don’t say why. But today she was driving the Jaguar on the royal grounds. Are you prepared for a life after Queen Elizabeth?

Yes. The Queen mom lived till her early 100’s so I will think that the queen will too.

She’s 95. Flip a coin, roll the dice. Anything is possible at her age.
I am ready for her son to take over, although it won’t be for long, then his son will take over.

Nomore_lockout's avatar

Hard to say. She has been the Queen for my entire life span, so who knows.

@kritiper I know nothing about how all that works. So why would Charles not be the king until he died?

rebbel's avatar

He would, @chyna.
Just like for his mom, that rule applies to him.
You were thinking correct.

Royalty in this day and age is ridiculous.

My guess is that she dies before the end of the year.

She’s 95, so from a statistical standpoint, if she lives to 100 that would be extraordinary. I guess then it depends on what you mean when you say “much longer.”

What happens with old people is, when they become sedentary, which she has not been but may be now, their circulation goes to shit, and at their age, if they fall and break a bone, that can be fatal, too, so anything can happen at this point.

@chyna The point about Charles not being King for very long is that he is in his 70s already.

I think that Queen Elizabth could live until age 97 years old, so its possible she may exceed her mothers age at death.
( her mother lived to be 102 yrs old.)

Here is and interesting link about Royality longevity.( see Chart)

Some of the British live forever. Look at Mick Jagger and Keith Richards.

kritiper's avatar

@chyna They aren’t that old…
And 76.6 is still pretty much the average age of men when they die.

I’m going for 10 more years.

I suspect that Queen Elizabeth will keep plugging away as long as Boris Johnson is in office. Baby-sitting the current PM is not a task she would want to pass on to her son.

chyna's avatar

Would someone please comb Mr. Johnson’s hair?

Pied_Pfeffer's avatar

@chyna It’s a “hip” statement about not having hair styled during COVID.

rebbel's avatar

Maybe that too, but he’s had that ‘style’ for at least ten years already, maybe even longer.

janbb's avatar

^^ Exactly

Years ago (late 90’s early 00’s) Johnson was the after dinner speaker my work laid on. From what I saw the hair and the bumbling bafoon thing is seemingly an act that he puts on. He turned up, and just before he was due to speak purposefully messed his hair. Fuck knows why we let him run the country.
