I want to send some Wisconsin cheese to friends in different countries. How do I go about doing this? How do I keep the cheese at the temperature it needs to be?

Best to ask at a cheese store how to wrap it or to order it online from a food purveyor.
Canada might not be a problem this time of year. Mexico may be another ball of wax.
@janbb I was hoping to send it myself to personalize the package but having the source send it will probably be easiest.
There’s a cheese mail-order company called The Wisconsin Cheeseman you could use.
I live in Wisconsin and have access to good cheese. I should have mentioned this. I’d love to send a personalized selection. Cheese from different sources here in Wisconsin, all wrapped up together from me personally, if this is possible.
@tent: One advantage of shipping directly from the retailer is that there may be free shipping with a minimum purchase. If you ship it yourself, you might pay 15–20 dollars per package for it to arrive at its destination.
I wouldn’t bother. Who knows how well it will be refrigerated. If put in styrofoam with cold packs it should arrive cold even at the 72 hour mark, but you’re pushing it, although this time of year is helpful since it’s cooler. It will be expensive. I think I paid $25 to ship fresh sauces from NY to FL including the special cold box.
You can probably include a note if you order direct. Companies like that often have a way to add a gift message.
@jca2 I doubt there is free shipping across country lines.
Here the hurtles of importing cheese to Canada. I’d have shipment made by the cheese company because they would have the paperwork and know how to fill it out.
It might be cost prohibitive. It will be interesting to see.
