What is your theory on these actions?

Asked by chyna (51635points) November 12th, 2021 from iPhone

So a guy that was two years older than me friended me on Facebook. I accepted. He immediately sent a picture of kissing lips. I didn’t reply. About an hour later he said it was an accident. He then sent 2 pictures of camels.
I didn’t reply thinking it would encourage him.
Then this morning, a week later, at 4:00 a.m. camel guy sends a smiley face. Two hours later he sends a link to Allman Brothers Band song Jessica and a link to Eric Claptons You Look Wonderful Tonight.
I haven’t seen him in 40 years. Should I be worried?
Don’t suggest I ask him what the camels mean. I don’t want to encourage him by talking to him.

I would unfriend him or block him. It sounds like he’s into you but it’s very creepy..

Kinda sounds like he’s crushing on you.

Kind of nutty. If he sends you a cake, look out.

Sounds like he wants to stalk you, or is having mental problems.

But I would expect that behavior from a young person. Why would someone older than you do that?

He’s fishing.

Creepy. Block him. They don’t tell him you blocked him.

Well at least he’s older than you. And according to your post, you knew him once. I still get occasional “friend requests” from women young enough to be my grand daughter, makes me feel like a perv. And I don’t know any of them from Adam. But in your case I’d do what was suggested and block him and never respond. Dude sounds like bad news. Your call of course.

I agree with @filmfann. He’s fishing for little responses from you, so he can ramp up the flirtiness, after he learns what you respond to.

Unfriend.

He’s not date material (he can’t communicate like an adult, for one; what’s he gonna do if you would date…., talk to you through emojis on his phone screen?)
Block him, or unfriend him.
No explanation needed.

The two camels are obvious…he is thinking of 2 humps. Block his creeper ass.

This guy sounds off the wall. I wouldn’t ask him anything. I’d “unfriend/block him” now.

Spooky behaviour. I would block him immediately.

Males of all ages do that @Mimishu1995. I once accepted a request to play some really old guy a game of Words With Friends. He started that shit with me on WWF messaging, and got mad when I didn’t respond / react.

A perfect example of why social media brings out the creepy in people.
