Is computer chip transistor density, maximized for miniaturization?

Asked by RedDeerGuy1 (24945points) November 13th, 2021

Also will we get bigger chips now that transistors space is maximized?

Or will we get sub-atomic transistors? That is measured at less than one angstroms sized?

By squeezing more transistors into a smaller space, a microprocessor can be produced which does more work in less time (more powerful). It also allows one chip to perform more functions – what used to require several chips can all fit into one chip.
