And what are some of the ways that your generosity gets expressed?

Usually generous, I don’t have to be “feeling happy.”
I think I am more generous when I am down because I feel more like I can relate to those in need. I donate to lots of different charities when I can. Usually animal related.
I’m with @anniereborn – when I am sad or depressed, I am going to be more generous because psychologically I am commiserating with others and want to be more accepted.
If I’m happy, I’m probably into enjoying my own happiness.
Just the opposite of your theory, @mazingerz88
I am generous when I feel gratitude.
I will pay it forward by paying for someones grocery store bill if I feel like it and they appear in need.
I’ll pay for the persons coffee behind me in the drive through.
This does not affect my mood to be generous unless I can afford to be generous (if it costs me money).
I’m more likely to give when I’m feeling good, simply because I’m not lost in my own stuff/ depression. Animal donations, T’giving dinners, and once I put a $100 bill in each of two coats I was donating.
@smudges Such a kind, sweet and fun thing to do those dollar bills in coats.
I donate money to Saint Jude no matter how happy I am.
