Newer Jellies: Want to see what makes some of us nostalgic? This major instance is known as the proposal thread:

I love seeing the names of those former jellies, and I also enjoy noticing how many of them are still around (some of them with new names). Lifers, I hope. Let’s not be driven off by any obnoxious boors.
Note: If you feel like browsing other questions from the same time period, you can go up to the question number in the address above—in this case, 44307—and just change the lower digits to see what else was going on then.

This was just a few months before my time, but it still makes me very happy to see the names. Thanks.
Do we have the YARNPOCALYPSE thread?
Thank you for the memories. I was just thinking of Sherry the other day. <3
This makes me want to ask to reinstate my original account. I have so many memories and messages there dating back to 2008.
Everyone talks about the Yarnpocalypse but does anyone remember that Jeruba and I started a Chuckathon before that when we all changed our avatars to AstroChuck’s for a few hours? That was the first one.
@janbb, yes, and don’t forget @filmfann. It was his idea, if I recall correctly. And it was fun, wasn’t it?
But that and the Yarn thing were jokes, pranks. @whatthefluther’s thread was touching, moving, exciting, and suspenseful, and most of all, it drew us into a happy couple’s incredibly special moment—particularly if you knew their story.
@Jeruba I agree, the proposal was probably the Fluther highlight. I was just responding to the posts about the yarnpocalypse above.
I consider those days gone by as being from the heyday of Fluther.
That was such a great thread. @scrowell and @whatthefluther were so lovely.
Reading through it again, I think I was heavily caffeinated at the time. ;^)
Love this. Great to see all the names and how priceless this thread is.
