Who provides a good, user-friendly email service?

I’m currently using ATT-Yahoo (sbcglobal.net), and they’ve become a PITA.
Their server doesn’t allow users to stay logged in for more than 2 weeks, which wasn’t that big of a deal.
After that time, it logged me off, and that really offed me log!
But the last two times I tried to log back in, it wouldn’t let me. Instead, I had to call a tech to reset my password. Then I had to create a new one each time.
I told the above to both of the techs that reset my passwords, and still no resolution.
Do you know of a service that allows a user to stay logged in, for as long as the user wants to?

I don’t know if there’s more to the question than I’m seeing but I never have had a problem with staying logged into gmail.
Are you averse to using an email client, as opposed to web-based email?
A client (example: Thunderbird, or emClient, just to name two – there are dozens more) stores your login and password and then queries the server every couple of minutes – as often as you wish – to get new mail.
You can either download messages and have them deleted from the server (the POP protocol) or have the messages store indefinitely on the server. (IMAP protocol).
I personally don’t like my history of email stored on a server – I have used email clients for years and years.
Read up on it.
I like Gmail. I’m biased. I use Google everything. Gmail is incredibly simple and very secure. I never have to log in. It’s just there when I open my web browser, which is Chrome.
Two weeks ? Why would you need to stay logged on for that long ?
I shutdown every night and let the computer sort it self out and when logging back on the antivirus runs a check.
Oh I’ve had Earthlink for email 26 years.
Well, I would say the best way to “stay logged in” is to not use a webmail service, but to use an email client that runs on your computer. Such as Hermes, Firebird, Eudora OSE, or others (but those are free).
You’d connect to a mail server using that program rather than your web browser, so there is no need to log in to email (the client program does that automatically), and you get to store your email on your own computer, and access it with all the speed and control that entails, instead of all the slowness, annoying, and dependency that using a web browser and a webmail app entails.
You could even just connect to your Yahoo email that way.
Oh, i see @elbanditoroso already mentioned this above.
Are you on a smartphone or MAC/PC? App, Mail client or browser?
I never have to authenticate to many email platforms and clients anymore. That is for gmail, yahoo, or Icloud. Most client side apps or mail clients on PC/MAC allow persistent connection. Web Browser login may be a different story. I formerly had that issue when on Comcast XFinity app. Yes it sucked and I moved away from it as my email domain.
@Hawaii_Jake
Did you get an update on Gmail stating that as of Dec 14 and after we are to long in everytime with our passwords.
Last year same thing and many forgot there passwords and were not able to get back in.
To offset update by using your password or creating a new one before Dec 14/21>
With spam sites everywere learking I am uncertain if its GMAIL or a spamm thingy?
@Inspired_2write I use Gmail for everything. I have multiple accounts. I have never seen that message and suspect it’s a nefarious message you’re seeing.
@Tropical_Willie Yes, but reading the article, once you have signed in once using two-step verification, you can set Gmail to not ask you again on that device. No biggie.
I rarely log out of it in any case.
I know penguin, but is does exist for one sign on.
^^ You are right, Santa, I was not arguing with you. Penguins never argue!
@janbb How can you wear a Santa hat? Are you an elf?
I don’t really understand why people would want to stay logged in to any website or email. I log in each time I use a site.
@Hawaii_Jake Jobs are scarce at the Pole. We take what we can get!
@Brian1946….you can have multiple Google email accounts.
