I paint landscapes with a bit of abstract and impressionism. Usually acrylic paint on canvas, but will delve into other mediums when it’s called for.

I am not an artist; I am only an onlooker.
Recently, I have come to appreciate watercolor. When I was younger, I was not much of a fan.
Pencil also is incredible for realistic artwork. I have a friend who does unbelievable portraits and also animals; her work looks like photos. I guess some people don’t like that, but no matter what it is impossible to ignore her understanding of color and shadowing, just amazing.
I was never much for impressionism, although I loved Degas as a girl, because I loved ballet I guess.
I do like abstract, and my grandfather painted mostly abstract the last 20 years of his life. Two of my favorite well known artists are Kandinsky and Rothko. If you have never seen Red, the play about Rothko, I highly recommend it. Reminded me so much of my grandfather. He used to say so much of the same things that are said in the play.
I’d like to take a class in glass fusion. Where I live people make such beautiful pieces. I want to make little things like small dishes and Chanukah menorahs. Gifty items.
I love watercolors, and my style. . .hmmm. Realism, I like things to look like what they are. I also like some Art Nouveau; and some Dutch, like Vermeer.
I have come to realize that I work the best with digital art. I’m a perfectionist with a wild imagination, and digital art provides me with all the tool to make my imagination come true, exactly how I want it to be. Digital art also enabled me to correct mistakes whenever I want, wherever I want. I can even draw whenever I want too.
Photo editing and digital art by manipulating particular scenes.
I tried watercolor but not impressed that the paint is too light.
I like acrylics lately and used them in crafts to paint a Christmas bulb the clear ones that open up..( i painted inside them and sealed it after..it keeps better).
I am still learning painting with acrylics.
I like dabbling in all types of medium. But feel most at home with a pencil in my hand.
I like a wide variety of media, yet I find myself really liking lithographs and wood block prints, especailly with very dramatic colors.
Sunday I went to the New Mexico Museum of Art and was amazed at prints by Gustave Baumann.
Watercolor is my medium of choice. I love the immediacy, the organic shape making of wet-on-wet, the delicacy, the granulation of pigments.
@zenvelo’s answer made me remember how much I love to do intaglio as well. Basically, I enjoy any medium that allows me to have a neurotic level of control. :P
