Have you ever mistaken a piece of lint for a bug?

Humor welcome.

I do when I go into the bathroom. I stare a good five seconds to see if it moves. Then I go closer. Most of the time it turns out to be lint on my bath towel.

Yes, and I’ve also mistaken a bug for lint, picked it up and dropped it quickly upon realizing my error! ewwww

When reaching for a towel on the top shelf a dark thing landed on me and I responded but pulling away and trying to get it off me…it was a puff ball of lint…hahah.

No, but like @smudges I’ve done the inverse. There’s an insect called an Aphid Lion that lives in my area. It picks up debris on its back and looks like a piece of fuzz walking around. It’s my understanding that these little guys are pretty beneficial and prey on undesirable insects.

I often do, but the funniest time is in a hotel, I saw a bug run across the floor. I threw a napkin on it and stomped, but I was afraid to look and see if it was dead. A maintenance man came up to spray it. He cautiously lifted the napkin and found a feather. It was hilarious.
