Anyone know what this hole is?

Asked by Allie (17546points) September 16th, 2008

You can see what I’m talking about in this video at 1:25. It’s some… hole. I’m curious.

Bring on the ‘hole’ jokes. I know some of you will not be able to resist.

Yes, it’s just a mine, don’t know what you could thought it was… For a guy having interest in geology… :p

You know, I’ve seen a lot of plains in my life, but I’ve never seen a hole in one like that before.

The mine appears to be in Siberia, but why does the video have arabic writing on it? I compared the pix, and it’s the same mine, I’m pretty sure. So it is probably in Siberia. Maybe the video is made by an arab?

It’s interesting you bring this up. I remember when we were sending tons of wheat to save the starving in the Soviet Union, 60 minutes ran a piece on the cache of diamonds that they were hoarding, that could have easily been used in trade for food from anywhere in the world.

I think this will clear any confusion up.
