Gas price tracker: What are the prices where you live?
Update it with a time and a date when you notice it goes up or down.
These are prices for the gas station that I work at:
In southern Wisconsin, in between Madison and Milwaukee, on March 1st 2022, gas prices for unleaded were $3.39.
As of March 4th, 2022 (same location) gas prices are now:
UNLEADED: $3.599
UNLEADED PREMIUM: $4.299
UNLEADED 88: $3.549
DIESEL: $3.999
You don’t have to say a specific location, but I would appreciate if you updated when they changed!
I want to log this and write this stuff down for historic purposes

I should add: The ones in my town (there are two) are also at $3.59 for Unleaded
Prices are going up! I just got angry with my husband for filling up today for $3.79 a gallon. I have the feeling prices will come back down in a week. Or, I guess I could be completely wrong and they might go higher.
I just think everyone is so busy assuming out loud that prices will go up, that the gas stations might as well capitalize on it.
The one reason prices might go up more here is Spring Breaks start in a week so prices would have gone up anyway. People will be flocking here.
Demand is up where I live; suddenly everyone needs gas. There are longer lines than usual at the pump.
Same bullshit different thing. TP, cream cheese, gas, blah blah. People need to stop panicking. That’s how we get taken advantage of.
5.25–5.50 for regular in most places. Costco still holds the line at 4.85 with lines around the block for the 40 pumps.
@JLeslie price projections are 20 % to 25 % increases over the next month.
Regular $3.899
Med range $4.209
Premium $4.449
Diesel $4.399
@Tropical_Willie I’d guess if they are projecting it then it will happen. I still say it’s just everyone being manipulated. If people didn’t run out to fill up I bet the increases would not be as steep.
@JLeslie Nobody in my area is panicking over gas.
They are pissed off, but not freaking out. They are already way higher than they should be. So what is the point of panic buying ?
No panic buying with long lines, I buy when I get to a quarter tank.
We don’t have long lines, but definitely the gas station near me is busier than usual. Probably a mix of wanting to buy gas before prices go up more and people worried there will be a shortage.
Yesterday gas was $3.54 today $3.79.
I hear from friends that we’re over $4 but I haven’t been out to see it with my own eyes. That’s one of the good things coming out of the pandemic. I’m basically staying home. I filled up last week when prices were down. Since I’m staying mostly at home, I only need to fill up every 2 weeks or so. I may well have a heart attack when I need my next fill up!!! Next time I need to go out, I’ll do my best to have a better answer.
So as of 1:30pm on ¾/22 Gas was $3.59
But now, at 11:00pm on ¾/22 it is now $3.79
It has gone up 40 cents in 72 hours.

March 4, 2022

Unleaded at Costco $4.26
Unleaded at other places $4.65
Thursday 3/3/22, Danbury CT Costco, 3.44 for regular.
Costco gas is cheaper than other places.
My tank was half empty so I topped it off. I decided that for the near future, I’m going to fill up as often as possible since gas prices will be going up. Whenever I’m near Costco, I’ll pop in and fill the tank.
Gas prices and oil prices (for heating) are definitely hot topics that friends are talking about and that are being discussed in local FB groups. People are not happy.

we pay a ridiculous amount of taxes per litre as well, and the government could dial them back a bit but NO, we tax payers have to be bled out a bit more.

Although I’m not shocked, the AG here in NC is investigating price gouging. Out near the interstate, prices are $4.59—$4.69/gal. Downtown they are $4.14–4.24. Drive 1 mile away and you’ll find $3.59–3.69. These are the same name brand stations who are all paying the same price for their delivery. Somebody is taking advantage of the situation
Oops, these prices were Sun 03/06/2022
Today, March 7, same place as last week, $4.20.
I am on an automotive news website, they think if the Russians continues in Ukraine; regular gas in the nation could average $5.00 in April.
SC news reports were predicting $7 by Memorial Day and this was before Russia invaded
I’m preparing myself for that figure
March 8, 2022 in North Central Illinois regular is around $4.00 for regular.

Biden just announced the ban on Russian oil this morning, and lines at the pumps were long. Gas prices are the big topic on FB.
Costco was today at 2:30 PM 5.09 for regular. Other outlets 5.49 to 6.00 with a few standouts at 6.99
I should have mentioned above that it was Costco Danbury CT.
@HP: what state was your Costco in?
Suburbs of San Francisco and the city itself. Pretty bleak, the economics of auto ownership, and God help you if you are without a garage. It’s at the point that I anticipate a further spike in the crime wave around folks siphoning gasoline.
Here I am about 4 or 5 days since my last post and prices are now up to $4.15/gal for regular.
Lines at some stations but wait for $7.00 a gallon – -there will be no lines.
We are over that now here in B.C @Tropical_Willie ,we pay the highest gas prices in North America.
The Government could help out a little but they won’t at 58cents of every litre going to taxes.
It is $4.09 now 3/9/22
it has been 10 cents a day consistently for a week. If it missed a day, it was because the day before it went up 20 cents.
4.38 last night, some stations ran out of gas.
$4.49 to $4.89 for regular
Diesel $5.67 to $5.99
June 15, 2022
Just paid $4.99/gal (regular 87) this morning here, outside of Boston.
6.40 for regular and climbing.
@SQUEEKY2 I’m curious. What measurement do you buy gasoline in in Canada? Does the pump dispense it in liters or gallons?
It’s sold by the litre , I converted it to us gallons for you Yankee jellies.
It was $4.89 near me, but came down to $4.74 and the gas station was busy again. When it was $4.89 for a few days I barely saw anyone buying gas. I think they are testing the market. If you can drive less do it! If everyone does it, I do believe it will make a difference.
14 July 2022 in Honolulu, I just paid $4.70/gallon at Costco. Gas has gone down since I bought gas last month. I commute to work on the bus, so I don’t need too much gas.
