How deep do wheat roots go?

Can one stack layers of wheat in a greenhouse?

The roots are shallow. The grain grows on top of a stalk which gets about two to three feet tall.
I don’t see it as being a good greenhouse plant.

Although I agree with Patty, you might want to read this. Not only do they tell you about growing wheat in a greenhouse, they tell you about growing it indoors like possibly your apartment.
