Does mascara, and volumizer/curling, interfere with the eyelashes natural ability to protect the eyes from foreign objects?

Are those big lashes heavy?

I would think it helps protect your eyes more. Mascara thickens lashes.

Yes but mascara and eyeliner can cause infections not to mention the chemicals in them.

Mascara may thicken the lash, but curling them also changes their natural angle of protection. I stopped wearing eye makeup after it kept irritating my eyes. I decided to err on the side of caution & NOT take the chance of going blind!!!
