The pictures of the cave are beautiful. But you have to squeeze yourself through a hole in the rock to get there. Just watching the video freaks me out.

Wow. I’ve done a small amount of squeezing through rocks, but that’s something else. I don’t think I would do it. When things are legitimately dangerous, my sense of self-preservation always ruins the fun!
NOOOOO, not even IF you had a naked Patrick Swayze, Paul Newman, & Elvis Presley waiting on the other side!!!
Actually, there is NOTHING that I need to see that bad!!!
@LadyMarissa Actually, I’m not surprised that the corpses of previously attractive dudes, are an insufficient inducement for you to squeeze into a Texass hole. ;)
@Brian1946 They may be dead & gone, but I’m NOT & I still have my fantasies intact!!!
Maybe it would be more plausible for you IF I had said a naked “The Rock”. Only problem there is that he wouldn’t fit through that tiny hole for the entrance!!!
And why would you cram yourself in small hole just to see a wiener @LadyMarissa?
I would show up with a pick.
Has nobody thought of that so far?
I vote for “my ass wouldn’t fit anyway”, as Fluther’s BEST new topic! ;-D
Yes. Done those type before also.
@LadyMarissa!!!

Hole size don’t matter none to El Pietro- one forearm smash, and the cave will become a drive-thru! ;p
No. My boobs would not allow it.
I’ll wait for a bigger entrance.
I would resemble toothpaste exiting the tube.
So, no, not likely.
Anyone remember Winnie the Pooh stuck in Rabbit’s entryway for a week after eating too much?
Hell to the no. Big time claustrophobia.
@janbb
So that is the origin of the “stuck-in-wall” fetish?
@ragingloli I suspect you know your fetishes much better than I do!
Of course @janbb. And they starved him for a week! So comments to not eating so you can fit through that hole.
In my younger days I would have, absolutely. Now, no.
BTW @raum there are lots of caves in California that are safe to visit if it’s something you’re interested in.
* commence * to not eating.
@Caravanfan I kind of went down this rabbit hole looking at local caves and caverns. Any in particular that you’d recommend—to someone who may possibly have some claustrophobia issues to work through?
(Just-realized claustrophobia issues after watching this video.)
@ragingloli That’s probably a very good reason not to. :(
So…I wasn’t really expecting this to turn into a conversation about naked dudes and squeezing into tight holes.
Though in retrospect, I probably should have seen that coming.
@raum They’re fun and interesting. And the popular ones are really safe and set up for tourists.
I went into a really cool cave in OK. It was 100⁰ outside, but inside the cave in was like 60⁰. In the olden days they had community gatherings in there.
I’ve gone to several of the big ones in the East like Luray and Howe Caverns. Those were big and led by guides and quite easy.
In Costa Rica, we went into a small cave with a guide on a muddy day. There was some wading through water in the beginning and a place where you could take a very narrow path or a slightly wider one. My boys did the scarier one and I did the wider one but it was still a small cave.
In France, I’ve been inside several that had cave paintings on the walls. The one at Niaux (sp?) was particularly impressive – we walked about 800 meters along and then the guide shone his flashlight on the walls in the large chamber.
I’ve also done rock scrambling and slithered up the Lemon Squeeze at Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz, New York.
@Dutchess_III Sure beats being out in the heat!
@janbb That sounds amazing. I would have loved to see the cave paintings at Lascaux. But I think they’re closed to the public now. :/
@raum The original cave is closed but I went into Lascaux II which is nearby and an exact reproduction of the original. Amazing art! The other two were the originals.
@janbb So cool! Art history nerding out now. :P
The Furong Caves in China were only discovered in the 1990’s. They are huge and it take two hours to walk through. The views become increasingly expansive and increasingly marvellous. As well as the bizarre shapes of the stalactites there are enormous caverns larger than cathedrals.
There are areas strewn with enormous boulders that have fallen from the roof and areas so big you couldn’t judge the distance of the far walls which might have been a mile away and places with enormous fluted columns like mutated church organs or enormous sagging tapestry drapes. Many of the cave’s features are lit by coloured lights which is OK in its way but I would have preferred plain lighting.
@flutherother Just googled Furong Caves. Wow.
Also, I totally see what you mean about the colored lights. Neat in its way, but I’d prefer plain lighting too. Caves look amazing without adding anything else to them.
No way! I’d send my DJI Mavic Pro drone down to take some pictures. Let it do the dirty work.
@raum said naked dudes and tight holes. childish giggles
