I don’t think much of vigilante bullies assaulting non-violent persons. He’s so big on the “record this” to a bystander, he should have recorded stuff himself, had the store call police while he maybe got a shot of the getaway car.
Kevin is awful, and should face some sort of consequences.
Just call the police.
And then film the suspects, and/or license plate.
Then continue your errands.
By the way, it said ‘suspected’ shoplifter.
I think he was playing cop, judge, and executioner here (body slamming the guy).
He, or the suspect, could have been injured.
Note that the man filming didn’t get involved.
More personnel should had helped but I understand that they don’t because of losing there jobs.
If it was me I would had draged the thief back into that store.
Security, where were they?
Perhaps Kevein should take a security job there full time.
These kinds of people never investigate local corruption to make citizen’s arrest.
They’re not knocking down doors of pedophiles or doing anything about wage theft when it’s the business stealing from workers, conveniently.
Seems like business as usual:
“President Lyndon B. Johnson once said, “If you can convince the lowest white man he’s better than the best colored man, he won’t notice you’re picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he’ll empty his pockets for you.”
Should be more real men like that walking around.
I agree with others. Call the police.
He wanted someone to call police, but he wanted the thieves to be where cops could find them.
I think these out of control thieves need some kind of deterrent, and cops aren’t covering it.
I totally understand Kevin’s motivation.
I wouldn’t have done it, but I’m kind of a pussy. I completely understand why he did it. Shoplifting is basically legal in California.
These shoplifters frequently assault store workers and other customers. I have absolutely no sympathy for them.
@Demosthenes, every man needn’t be the same. Nor every woman.
I am the kind to do the same as Kevin. Those of us who are, don’t think less of those who can’t. We feel the way we do because we value the safety and peace of mind of everyone.
