I would prefer if only females would answer…
If a guy was to ask you out how would you want him to do it.

“Hey, would you like to go to the movies/dinner/drink a coffee together?”

Women “won’t size you up as a potential date until you call and ask” them “out. How you handle yourself on the phone will indicate whether” they “should take you seriously as a date. In that first phone call,” they “will be able to tell if you have a personality, a sense of humor, self-confidence and ambition – or if you spend all of your time slacking on the couch.
It is unwise to call any later than Wednesday to ask a woman out for the weekend.

Never underestimate the importance of conversation.” Researchers, including the author of this article, supposedly, ” ... have found that most men hate to chat on the phone.” They “recommend you get over this immediately.
Let her be the first to say she has to go.
...
Engage yourself in what she’s saying.
Women are less intimidated by lulls in a conversation than men are.”

Let’s go to dinner Thursday, want to? Or let’s grab lunch together tomorrow. Don’t try to plan so much. Being spontaneous is a wonderful trait.
Try to get to her when you see her. By that I mean when you see her try to ask her out.
In person, or by phone (voice). Where do you see her? Does she know you’re alive? The setting may help.
Find out interests that you both like.
Observe her interests, style, colors, friends etc
If engaged in same interests its easy to invite her or even with a group to attend an interesting event, even Farmers Mrkets, Street markets, Garage sales to pass the time away then sugest going for a coffee or lunch somewhere.
Keep it light and natural the first time going out to get to know her.
