Tax season?
Christmas?
Birthday dinner for father-in-law?
Performance review?
What recurring processes stress you out at regular intervals—and then (whew!) are dependably over for a while?
Sure, a lot of us go through the same repetitive ordeals. But not all of us stress out over them. What are the predictable super-hurdles in your path?

Looking at them all now, they’re almost too trivial to talk about, nearly all of them tedious maintenance stuff around the house. I have a friend in Vermont however who called last week to tell me he’s just been diagnosed with throat cancer. When he, his wife and baby dumped California for Vermont some 30 years ago, I anticipated a contented life of rustic splendor and contentment for them all. Their experience however is the greatest lesson on greener grass disappointments I know. It’s been 3 decades of nonstop Lemony Snicket travails and hardship. The guy works like a slave and has been doing so for as long as I’ve known him and yet rarely is there a trace of complaint or bitterness on his part. And now this.
Too late to edit: I misread the question and I missed the part about “for a while.” I’m not planning to worry about those ^^ again ever!
Cleaning/staining my deck.
Hahaha, @gorillapaws, I am prepping for that right now. I hate it!
Shoveling and dealing with snow and ice.
Financial help for parents. Paying for money a niece stole. Lots more family related. A few days with these things out of mind is always a blessing.
^^Raised chaotically by parents who were both very problematic themselves so I can hardly blame the poor girl, now a young woman of 25 with two kids from different fathers. She really didn’t have a chance imo. Heartbreaking really.
Changing the cutting blades on my lawn tractor mowing deck.
Ugh! I hate that job. Blood is always spilled.
Cutting the grass as my flat shares a communal garden.
Colonoscopy and/or upper GI
Dropping my tax return into the mailbox.
Getting a new roof and new heat/AC unit
Colonscopy
Setting up a new computer (not sure this counts as regular intervals).
Taxes for the company I work for.
Yearly eye check.
