Please could everyone complete the survey above. It is part of a school project. It would be even more helpful if you could share this to more people interested in taking part. Thank you

Could somebody with the capability please check the safety of this link?

It’s safe.

It is what they wrote it was, a school survey about the term ”[The] Metaverse”, on Google Docs.

Why are they using chyna’s name?

^^That’s what I wonder too.

I noticed that too, but the spelling “Chyna” is not unusual.

This the OPer is Chyna190, I will let filmfann190 answer in that part of the metaverse.

That is so weird. One of the plaintiffs on Judge Judy today was named Chyna.

I went through the questionnaire. Do you mind if I give you some feedback? I learned how to make research questionnaire back when I was in college, so I have some knowledge of how to make questionnaires.

The questionnaire is full of open-ended questions that require us to write. This is really discouraging for your interviewees because people generally don’t have that much time to spend on a questionnaire, especially when they are doing it simply for their kindness. And even when people do answer, it will be a nightmare for you to sort out the answers and draw a statistic because there will be so many variations for answers that it’s hard to group them into categories. I suggest you think of all the answers for the open-ended questions and give us a list of things to choose like other questions. You can always have an “other” option for anyone who is passionate enough to give an opinion.

I’m not sure what you mean by “sort of” in the question about NFT. You already have a “yes” and a “no”. This isn’t a casual conversation. This is a scientific research. You have to be clear in your language.

Also I think your question topics are, to be frank, all over the place. You start with a question about Metaverse, then you ask about NFT, then you go back to the Metaverse again, then you move to NFT again, then you ask about cryptocurrency, then you get back to Facebook, Metaverse and NFT again. I feel like I’m running in circle here. Please group all related questions into groups. You can make this a 3-part questionnaire on your form, about Metaverse, NFT and cryptocurrency. I finish with one topic, I click next, I get another topic. That would be much better for my brain to sort out.

And can you make all questions you think are important require fields? I did an experiment: I clicked on your link and clicked “send” without answering anything, and the form still accepted my submission. You have to make sure people answer your questions before they can send the form to you, or you will get trolls who will waste your time and do the same thing I did.

@Mimishu1995 You GO girl! Way to encourage and educate! Seriously, that’s a very specific and useful critique. I, too, am very picky about surveys and will either skip them or criticize them if they’re written poorly.

It is basically a sanitised, commercialised, and data harvesting version of VRchat

@Mimishu1995 That’s great feedback for a statistical analysis.

I don’t think this school project (nor any question about “the Metaverse” framed like this) is really ready for serious statistical analysis, though. So I really enjoyed being able to reply to questions in text (though yes, I could’ve done so with one “other” field, the way this was written encouraged me to explain my frame challenges in detail). I also liked the “sort of” option for whether or not I understood NFTs, because NFTs are complicated, and probably many people would most accurately only partly understand what NFTs are – sometimes a binary yes/no is only going to tell you what people would say when forced to say yes or no, and I’d tend to assume most people who answer “yes” don’t really understand what they are, let alone how they work.
