Does the young offenders act apply to law suits?

Can one sue a kid or teenager?

No, first they can’t enter in to a contract or sign for themselves.

“The act (Young Offenders Act) was repealed in 2003 with the passing of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Youth_Criminal_Justice_Act

And in both Acts it applies to criminal not civil cases; i.e. “lawsuits”, so it doesn’t apply.
