So far my list is:
Fallout
Fallout 2
Unreal Tournament: Game of the Year
Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura
Sanitarium
Planescape: Torment
Starcraft
Civilization 3
Rome:Total War
Warcraft III
Sid Meier’s Pirates!
My qualifications are that it must run on a Macbook (2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 1 GB Memory, GMA 950 Graphics Card) using bootcamp. I’m not completely sure that all these will run on the Macbook, so some help there would also be appreciated.

Maniac MansionII: Day of the Tentacle
Full Throttle
Escape from Monkey Island
Sam & Max
All classics… too old?
Alpha Centauri! Become addicted to creating, governing, and wargaming your alien colony. For hours on end. Without noticing.
Alpha Centauri and the alien expansion.
Hell yea another vote for that here.
out of this world is one of the best games, ever. Also the original 3 prince of Persia games.
Second for the Sam and Max games and monkey island. In fact, I have a copy of the old monkey islands if you’re interested in buying it.
FYI Hobbes, Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura is a great game but for some reason the X1600 ati videocard on my Intel Imac has problems with it. It won’t run in parallels and there’s terrible screen bleeding in boot camp. Maybe the drivers work better now but I did have problems with it.
< < ugh, just re-read (apparently, for the first time) the Qualifications for this. Hereby withdraws previous quips.
Hmmm… that sucks, bodyhead. It looked like such a cool game, too.
@robmandu – no worries, Earthworm Jim was a great game (though I only played it on SEGA).
Also – I will definitely pick up Alpha Centauri.
No One Lives Forever I
Return To Monkey Island
No doubt I’m neglecting many, but:
Windows era:
Myth: The Fallen Lords

Master of Magic
Master of Orion II
Tigers on the Prowl II
Elite
Sim Earth
Motorola 68000 era (Atari ST, Commodore Amiga):
Dungeon Master
Midwinter
Oids
Sundog
Populous
Powermonger
Starglider I & II
8-bit era (Atari 8-bit, Apple II, Commodore 64…):

Pharaoh’s Curse
Midwinter! Loved that game. Sadly it wont play on my PowerPC Amiga.
The greatest computer game of all time is missing from everyones list WTF!?
Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2
Guys! Come on! The ZORK cycle! Zork I, II, Zero. Those were real mind-benders.
I am probably the only one old enough to remember Pong. Played it about thirty five years ago… It was the first “computer game” made, I believe.
Total Annihilation for sure ! This game is just awesome !
Perhaps this dates me, but what about Duke Nukem? I mean, you know, old school Duke Nukem. I used to love that game.
Yeah, Duke Nukem ! Really a great one. Else you can still attempt to play to “Duke Nukem Forever” :D

Aliens vs. Predator 1 and 2 are great, and lets not forget all the great games Steam just got from Lucas Arts, including a completely re-done version of The Secret of Monkey Island and a bunch of old Sierra titles, too. But those aren’t guaranteed to work with Vista or Windows 7, unlike the Lucas Arts titles. Ah, adventure games, you shall never lose your charm… I will play you again and again just to hear your story again :)
@sonic232 – First welcome. Second you just listed some of my all time favorite games!! And one of the reasons I will always keep an older pc around and running. My kids are already enjoying The Secret of Monkey Island.
I also like No One Lives Forever. Great humor.
How about Diablo and Diablo II.
I cannot count the hours I have sacrificed at that altar.
