If you have seen the recent "The Batman" movie, what did you think of it?

Asked by ragingloli (52206points) April 24th, 2022

As a reminder, here is the trailer:

I thought it was okay, but mostly tepid.

If the trailer is something to go by, I wouldn’t want to spend €15 for it.
But I suspect this was satire?

I didn’t care for it. Worst Batman film since Clooney.

I stopped watching halfway through, bored.

Two and a half hours of build to a meh half hour of action. The story left a lot to be desired. 2.5 out of 5 stars.

I couldn’t even bear 30 seconds of the trailer.

I saw it. I personally think it is one of the better ones. That doesn’t say much because I don’t think highly of most of the other ones. It took quite awhile to get connected to it, but I enjoyed it.

I stopped enjoying dark and sullen Batman movies after
Nolan’s sequel. Matter of fact what I thought I would enjoy revisiting, Nolan’s “ultra-realistic” take on the Bat I now find reprehensible.

Snyder’s movies I consider total pieces of crap. And now here
comes another dark and emo Batman with a ridiculous choice for a climax. ( Spoiler alert! ) It merely picked up from Nolan’s already boring and unecessary third installment.

Now that this new exec Haslav is in charge, I can only hope he brings these DC superhero characters towards a great fresh start. Get a break from dark narratives, dark cinematography and yes, tepid tone.

I saw in a theater when it first opened. I told my son I would give a 6 out of ten. What was with all the damn rain all the time? I figured it was a cheap way to avoid doing any detail graphics work.

I hated the first hour. It felt like the sort of film noir that you’d see in a Tom Clancy videogame, I though it was tedious and poorly done. But the film really picked up during the Penguin chase scene. And I thought the last hour was quite good.

@zenvelo The rain was also probably meant to serve
as logical build-up for that deluge of an ending.

That ending was an inferior retread of both “The Dark Knight”, and “The Dark Knight Rises”.
This whole attempt at making a Film Noir with Batman, does not work at all, because he is Batman.

They’re taking this character way too seriously that it’s all devoid of fun.
